I was invited by Ariane Spanier to join her and together give a workshop to the MA Design students of the ESAD de Matosinhos Portuguese University. After working together for some years, we realised that despite having had lots of freedom in those projects, limitations helped in the creative process. And so there was the idea to work with the students on different assignments, with lots of rules and always with one end result: a mask.
In September 2018 I took part in the Open School Program Ellipsis for the second year. Each participant was asked to teach a class to the others. Drawn to Dance was a series of exercises where the group was asked to attempt to let go from expectations of performing well, either in drawing or in dancing.
In June 2014 I was invited by a friend who had a gallery space in Bergen to show my illustration work. It was a terrifying idea. But also a nice challenge.
It started with 100 line drawings on A4 coloured paper leftovers from a previous project.
The result came to be my first time bringing people together to draw without fear of the empty page. If I could do it, everyone could.
